Jeffrey I. Burck, CPM®
Jeffrey I. Burck, CPM, of Sugar Land, TX, is serving as the 2010 -2011 Regional Vice President for Region 7. During his two-year term, he has oversight for the activities of the seven IREM chapters in Texas and Oklahoma.
Burck is a property manager with Brookfield Properties, Houston, TX. With more than 20 years of industry experience managing office, retail and industrial properties, he joined Brookfield Properties in 2007. Prior to that, he was the director of property management for 3.8 million square feet of property comprised of retail centers, industrial parks, and several suburban office buildings.
Burck began his real estate management career with Gerald D. Hines Interests as an assistant property manager for the prestigious Houston Galleria, responsible for more 525,000 square feet of premier Class A office space. Shortly thereafter, he served as a senior property manager for a local real estate company, overseeing a portfolio of office and retail centers. During this time, he played an integral role in a $24 million downtown building renovation/construction project plus a key role in the construction of a new multi-million dollar, 10-story parking garage.
Burck earned the IREM-conferred Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation in June, 1992, the Real Property Administrator (RPA) credential from the BOMI Institute in September, 1992, and obtained a Texas Real Estate Broker’s license in 1996. Long active in IREM’s Houston Chapter No. 28, he has served in numerous chapter leadership positions, including that of president. Recently, Burck received the chapter’s “Jeff Williford Award of Excellence,” an award named after one of its most well-loved past presidents and a past IREM regional vice president who embodied professionalism and ethics at the highest level. The prestigious award (only awarded two other times) was developed as an honor to be given at the chapter president’s discretion to those worthy of the ongoing commitment to the chapter and selfless service toward the betterment of IREM Houston and its mission.
A member of the Board of Governors of the Downtown Club, a ClubCorp Organization, Burck is married and the father of three sons.
