Robert Winder Nordblom, CPM®
Robert Winder Nordblom, CPM, of Groton, MA, is serving as the 2010 -2011 Regional Vice President for Region 1. During his two-year term, he has oversight for the activities of IREM chapters in chapters in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
With over 30 years of industry experience, Nordblom is executive vice president of Boston-based Nordblom Company. His responsibilities include oversight of the company’s multifamily assets and corporate technology and property insurance activities, as well as its accounting and human resources departments. Founded in 1924 by Nordblom’s great grandfather, and currently active throughout the New England and North Carolina markets, Nordblom Company owns, develops, manages and sells commercial and multi-family properties for its own account as well as third-party investors.
Nordblom earned the IREM-conferred Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation in 1990 and has been active in the organization locally and nationally, as was his grandfather. He has served in many leadership positions with IREM’s Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4, including president. At the national level, he has been a member of the IREM Governing Council, the Audit and Legislative Committees and several others.
In addition to his professional activities, Nordblom has been heavily involved in community affairs, serving on the Town of Groton’s Finance, Capital Planning and Growth Management Committees. He was also a Town of Groton Selectman.
Nordblom graduated from the Forman School in Lichfield, CT in 1974 and was the recipient that year of the school’s John N. Forman Award for Citizenship.
