Donald B. Wilkerson, CPM^®

Donald B. Wilkerson, CPM, of Reno, NV, is serving as the 2009-2010 Regional Vice President for Region 8. During his term, he has oversight for the activities of IREM chapters in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada New Mexico, and Utah.

Wilkerson is president and chief executive officer of Gaston and Wilkerson Management Group, AMO^®, a full-service real estate firm engaged in multifamily, commercial and industrial management, development and brokerage. Gaston and Wilkerson management Group has been recognized by IREM as an Accredited Management Organization (AMO), which symbolizes the highest standards of professionalism, financial performance and ethics.  Only 520 firms have passed the rigorous requirements necessary to earn the AMO accreditation.

Wilkerson been active in IREM’s Northern Nevada / Tahoe Chapter No. 89.  He has held numerous chapter leadership positions, serving two terms as president. As well, he has twice been honored as the chapter’s “Certified Property Manager (CPM) of the Year,” first in 2005 and then again in 2009.

Wilkerson is a licensed real estate broker in Nevada and also holds a property management permit issued by the State of Nevada.  He also is active in the development of real estate and has developed apartment projects, industrial big box warehouses, flex-office warehouses, retail shopping centers and office buildings.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Nevada.

In addition to his involvement in IREM, Wilkerson is a member of the Land Trust Alliance and the immediate past Chairman of the Nevada Land Conservancy.  The Nevada Land Conservancy is a non-profit land trust working with landowners and communities to protect and preserve open space.
