(Chicago, IL April 15, 2009)  – A new “Industry Partner Program” has been launched by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM^®) to help providers of products and services to the real estate management industry enhance their personal connections to IREM Members on a cost-effective basis. The program is based on coordinating knowledge exchange through IREM print, electronic and face-to-face communications.

“A key element underlying IREM’s commitment to offering excellence in education and professional development is to help our industry integrate new technologies and best practices in the operation and management of real estate,” said IREM Senior Vice President Michael T. Lanning, CPM^®, who helped to structure the new program. “The community of suppliers and service providers to the real estate management industry is a primary source of knowledge for stimulating understanding and implementing best practices to achieve the most effective and safe operation of properties. The IREM Industry Partner Program is designed to effectively meld the ever-growing knowledge base of both the supplier and professional member communities for the benefit of both,” Lanning added.

IREM’s new Industry Partnerships provide manufacturers, suppliers and retailers of products and services to the profession with a coordinated multi-channel means to market their products and service offerings as well as to educate users on the best applications of their products and services. These partnerships are offered at many levels of financial investment and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each partner. Benefits include direct and online educational presentation opportunities, advertising (print and electronic), exhibiting at national events, use of membership lists for direct mail, and access to the top leaders of the Institute as partners and colleagues.

The program groups IREM communications resources into four different packages, each offering a unique assortment of advertising, editorial, webinar, website, direct mail and event participation opportunities.
