Receives Prestigious Lum Award from the IREM® Foundation

(Chicago, May 21, 2010) The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public foundation, recently honored IREM® Member Beverly Roachell, CPM®, of Little Rock, AR,  with its prestigious Louise L. and Y.T. Lum Award. The Lum Award is presented periodically to honor real estate professionals who have made a distinguished contribution to the real estate management industry through education, publications and/or the advancement of ethical and professional standards. By design, this award only is given periodically, not annually, and is considered to be one of the most coveted of all lifetime real estate awards.

Roachell, formerly President of RPM Management Company, Inc., has recently launched Peak Properties, LLC, a private, upscale service-driven commercial and residential property management company based in Little Rock.  She has been a well-known real estate and business leader in Arkansas for over 30 years.

ASSET TO THE INDUSTRY AND IREM
In presenting the award to Roachell, IREM® Foundation President Edward Boudreau, CPM®, noted that her contributions to IREM and the industry are vast. She has been a leader in the IREM organization nationally as an officer, a faculty member, and participant in many committees.  In 1994, she served as IREM® National President. As well, she has long been active in IREM’s  Arkansas Chapter No.  64, and was honored by the chapter as its “CPM® Manager of the Year” in 1983.”

Roachell holds a J.D. Degree and B.S. Degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she currently is a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. She earned the Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) designation from IREM in 1981, and is licensed in Arkansas as a Real Estate Broker and Attorney at Law.
