Journal of Property Management Special Report Explores Architectural Trends

(Chicago, IL, September 10, 2004) Whether it's new construction, remodeling or repositioning, the latest issue of the Journal of Property Management has the scoop on the latest looks and strategies for success. The special report “Break New Ground” allows readers to tune in to retail, multifamily, industrial and office construction and remodeling trends. The complementary article “Where-House?” presents case studies of reinvented warehouses that have transformed from struggling to prospering, often bringing along the surrounding neighborhoods.

The features “Paper or Plastic?” and “College Try” explore the world of alternative rent payment options, from credit cards with bonus point incentives for high-end multifamily residences to electronic bill payment and presentment for campus apartments.

Other articles in the September/October issue include “Space Race,” which reviews a bevy of technological tools property managers can use to plan personnel and fixture positioning, “Tap Into Paired Profits,” which offers insight into converting expertise to income by consulting, lecturing and writing and “So You Want to Become a Tax Credit Professional?,” which details 33 things property managers need to know about Section 42 tax credits. The online exclusive “Stop Gap” guides employers through the process of adapting to generational work styles and attitudes.

The issue also includes the second annual Readers' Choice Awards Ballot. Subscribers can make their voice heard by voting for favorite suppliers of property management products and services. Results will be published in the January/February 2005 issue.
