Public and Assisted Housing

IREM, through its National Federal Housing Liaison Advisory Board, takes an active role in working with the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Rural Housing Service on rules, regulations, notices and handbooks affecting Section 8, 202, 221(d)3, 221(d)4, 236, and 515 projects. Other issues addressed by this IREM Advisory Board are the annual HUD and RHS budgets, physical inspections of property, 2530 clearance, insurance, occupancy, automation, and other aspects of the daily maintenance of the properties.
