Sam Chanin, CPM®, is the 2019-2020 regional vice president for IREM (the Institute of Real Estate Management) for Region 11, encompassing chapters in California and Hawaii. Chanin oversees Transwestern’s Orange County, San Diego, Nevada, and Inland Empire asset services platforms, consisting of approximately 19 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail properties. With over 19 years of experience in commercial real estate, Chanin specializes in business development, lease negotiations, client relations, tenant retention, and asset stabilization for both institutionally and privately owned commercial real estate properties.
Prior to Transwestern, Chanin was a senior leasing/property manager and assistant vice president at RREEF/Deutsche Bank, as well as serving on the corporate services team at Coldwell Banker Commercial Westmac.
Chanin earned his CPM® designation in 2010 and is a licensed real estate professional in the state of California. He is an active member of IREM and has previously served as chair of the national education committee as well as the Orange County Chapter president.
Chanin received his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
