You’ve already made changes to advance sustainability in the properties you manage. Want to do even more? It’s time to look into the IREM® Certified Sustainable Property certification.

The IREM CSP is applicable to a wide variety of properties. The process is understandable and actionable, so not only can you do it, but you can do it on your own. It’s likely that you’re already implementing many of the required practices. It’s more affordable than you might expect too. Application Fee

While the IREM CSP is a highly valued certification, it’s more affordable than you might think, on par with or less than other certifications. And the earn-back for most properties covers the cost.

  • $730 for IREM Members and AMO Firms
  • $1210 for Non-Member Individuals and Companies

Annual Deadlines

New Certification priority deadline: November 1

  • All qualifying applications for first-time certification submitted by November 1 are guaranteed certification dates for the year in which they’re submitted.

Recertification deadline: December 31

  • Recertification is required every three years by December 31

 

A cost-effective and streamlined certification

Considered to be a cost-effective and streamlined certification process, IREM’s CSP focuses on existing buildings and recognizes excellence in property operations and performance based on aspects like energy, water, health, recycling, and procurement.

LEED- and ENERGY STAR- certified properties are eligible to fast-track to the CSP.
