United Plus Property Management honored as AMO® of the Year
IREM’s REME Awards recognize excellence in real estate management – in corporate and individual categories, including AMO of the Year. AMO (Accredited Management Organization) accreditation is awarded to firms that maintain an elite reputation, fiscal stability, exceptional management and demonstrate ethical conduct. Among the nearly 600 firms that have earned this certification, only one is chosen as AMO of the Year, to honor those companies that:
- Advance the real estate management profession
- Provide outstanding service to clients, tenants, and residents
- Demonstrate ethical business practices based on the AMO Code of Professional Ethics, and include these practices within its workforce
- Support employee participation in IREM activities
- Support employee professional development on industry-specific knowledge
- Execute leadership development and soft-skill training for employees
United Plus Property Management, LLC, AMO, the management arm of The United Group of Companies, Inc., was honored with a REME Award for AMO of the Year at the IREM 2019 Global Summit held in San Francisco in September 2019, based on:
- Innovation in the adult active space by introducing their unique Senior Umbrella Network (SUN) program to offer healthy lifestyle options, financial planning, education, and entertainment into their active adult communities.
- Creativity in the student housing space by making special arrangements for student athletes to use student housing when they arrive on campus for training before the beginning of term.
- Commitment to employee development with United University, a program for UPPM employees that offers classes toward earning IREM certifications.
