Course Description

Presenter: Todd Feist

Build the knowledge and confidence needed to support Certified Sustainable Property (CSP) certifications with this on-demand course led by Todd Feist, IREM’s Director of Sustainability Programs. The course introduces the CSP-AP credential, which is earned by completing the course and passing the exam and is designed to validate proficiency with IREM’s CSP criteria.

You’ll explore how the CSP program evaluates property operations across energy, water, health, recycling, and procurement, along with the documentation required for successful CSP applications. The course also walks through where to find official CSP requirements and offers practical guidance for preparing documentation and engaging key stakeholders.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a clear readiness plan to enroll in the CSP-AP program, prepare for the exam, and support properties through streamlined, repeatable CSP certifications.

Learning objectives:

  • Explain the scope of the CSP program, eligible property types, and how CSP-AP supports certification efforts
  • Discuss CSP-AP requirements and how to enroll in the course and exam
  • Identify the benefits of earning the CSP-AP credential

Todd Feist is IREM’s Director of Sustainability Programs. In this role, he leads the IREM Certified Sustainable Property (CSP) program with guidance from IREM’s Sustainability Advisory Council.
