Property management rarely comes with a pause button. Between customer concerns, team demands, deadlines, budgets, emergencies, and an endless stream of decisions, it can feel as though the year ends at the same frantic pace it began. But moving faster is not always the answer.
Permission to Pause™ is a practical, year-end reset designed to help professionals step out of reactive mode, regain their center, and intentionally decide what they want to carry into 2027 — and what they are ready to leave behind.
Participants will experience techniques for calming the nervous system, interrupting stress reactions, creating space before responding, and refocusing attention on what matters most. Through guided reflection and practical tools that can be used during the workday, attendees will leave with a personal reset strategy for navigating pressure with greater clarity, energy, and intention.
Participants will learn to:
- Use practical techniques and response strategies during stressful workplace moments
- Recognize personal stress signals and triggers
- Reflect on the year with intention to identify what worked, what drained energy, what remains unresolved, and what not to carry into 2027
- Create a personal Reset & Refocus Plan with priorities, boundaries, habits, and intentions that support greater mental heath and sustainable performance in the new year
With three decades in various sectors of multifamily, Maria offers a distinctive combination of leadership and expertise. She has held influential positions as President of Tribute Properties, Move.com, Kettler, and E&S Ring, successfully elevating these companies to the forefront of their industries.
Maria loves continuous learning, which inspired her to work not only in conventional housing, but affordable, military, senior and student. She is renowned within multifamily not only for her infectious positive energy but also for her unwavering commitment to prioritizing people.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Arizona State University. She boasts an impressive list of certifications including IREM Certified Property Manager, Certified Defense Property Manager, National Apartment Association Advanced Facilitator, and NAAEI faculty member.
