Parking facilities are frequently considered low priority areas in a real estate manager’s portfolio if tenants have open spots to use. Yet that facility is often the basis of the first impression visitors and tenants form of not only the accompanying building, but of your management company. It can also be a good source of additional income. Use the suggestions from this webinar to make that first impression a great one, as well as make a quick impact to your client’s bottom line.

Lee Whitman Lee A. Whitman, CPM®, MCR, RPA, is Director of Property Management with MC Realty Group, LLC in Kansas City, Missouri.  He has more than thirty years of property management experience with a variety of commercial properties in the Kansas City and Midwest region including development, investment and corporate real estate. His current position involves overseeing the property management team for client portfolios of more than 100 locations 8 million square feet.

Mr. Whitman has been a member of IREM since 1987, receiving his CPM® designation in 1995, and his Executive CPM® in 1999.  He served on the IREM-Kansas City Board from 2006-2013 and was the Chapter President in 2012. He formed the chapter’s Mentoring Committee in 2013 and served as its Chair for the first three years, and he was awarded IREM-KC Property Manager of the Year in 2013. He is a co-author of the IREM Key Report, Managing Your Maintenance Programs: A Guide to Implementing Cost-Effective Plans for Properties, served on the MNT402 Course Review Board in 2014 and again in 2018, and has served on IREM’s National Student and Academic Outreach Advisory Board since 2013. He has also served on the Education and Knowledge Products Committee.

In addition to being an instructor with IREM, Mr. Whitman also is an instructor with BOMI and has been a member of BOMA since 1991. He served on the BOMA-Kansas City Board from 1995-2002 and again from 2015-2018.  He received his RPA designation from BOMI in 2000.

Mr. Whitman is active in CoreNet Global and received their MCR designation in 2007, and he holds a real estate salesperson license in both Kansas and Missouri. He is a frequent guest lecturer/presenter with the University of Missouri-Kansas City Bloch School of Business Master of Entrepreneurial Real Estate Program.

In his spare time, Mr. Whitman enjoys spending time officiating college and high school baseball, basketball, and volleyball games around the Kansas City area.
