Joseph Greenblatt, CPM, is IREM’s representative to the Executive Committee of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Executive Committee.
Greenblatt is president and CEO of Sunrise Management, headquartered in San Diego, California, which earned IREM’s prestigious Accredited Management Organization (AMO) credential. In his role at Sunrise, Greenblatt directs the day-to-day operations of the company, its portfolio of more than 12,000 residential units, and its 350 employees in San Diego and Sacramento, California; Tempe, Arizona; and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Greenblatt has long been active in IREM’s San Diego Chapter, and has served in numerous chapter leadership positions, including that of president. The chapter honored him with the “CPM of the Year” award in 1991 and in 1994. Greenblatt also has been active in IREM at the national level. He is a member of the IREM national faculty has served as chairman of its national Ethics Hearing and Discipline committee, and as an IREM senior vice president with oversight for the organization’s educational programs and activities. He is the recipient of two of IREM’s national service awards, the IREM “Key Award” in September 1993, and the “Past President’s Award “in 1996.
In addition to his involvement in IREM, Greenblatt is a member of the board of the Bobby Jo Lewis Foundation organization. He also serves on the Real Estate Committee, an advisory group, at the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego. He also is a member of the National Apartment Association (NAA), NAA’s San Diego Chapter (SDCAA), and the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC).
