IREM Launches Search for 10 Women Changing the World of Real Estate Management

Chicago, March 8, 2012 - The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), keying off the annual celebration of International Women' s Day observed globally every March 8, today launched a search for "10 Women Changing the World of Real Estate Management." Nominating information and a nominating form can be accessed at, with submissions being accepted from any and all sources. The submission deadline is July 1, 2012.

"In big ways and small, women are changing the face of the real estate management industry daily" said IREM 2012 President James A. Evans, CPM. Moreover, a majority of those who earn IREM's CPM credential, viewed widely as the industry gold standard, are women. So," continued Evans, "IREM is seeking help in identify 10 women who represent the absolute best of what our industry can achieve, whether it be through new ideas, mentoring, community service, leadership, or other laudable initiatives."

The 10 women ultimately selected as honorees will be featured in an upcoming issue of IREM's award-winning Journal of Property Management. They also will be celebrated at IREM's 2013 Leadership and Legislative Summit - featuring Capitol Hill Visit Day - to be held from April 6 to 10, 2013, in Washington, DC.
