Checklist for Becoming an ARM

Education – choose one of five options:

Option 1


Course schedules

If you plan to take RES201 in the classroom, consider the ARM Track to meet the ARM education, ethics, and examination requirements.

Option 2

Complete four courses:

If you took IREM courses prior to 2005, find out which of these courses earn credit by reviewing the ARM Course Equivalency Chart

Option 3

  • Hold a CPM, CAM, CRM, or RAM designation

Option 4

  • Have an undergraduate or graduate degree with a major, minor, or concentration in real estate or property management, or an associate's degree in a non-commercial property or real estate management program.

Other Requirements

  • Submit an ARM application with the non-refundable application fee, which is $80.
  • Submit three Confidential Letters of Recommendation (included in ARM application).
  • Be interviewed and recommended for approval by your IREM Chapter.
