In today’s dynamic and often unpredictable market, accurate forecasting is more critical than ever for asset managers and real estate professionals.

This webinar will equip participants with practical tools and strategic insights to develop and analyze a rolling six quarter forecast. Attendees will explore techniques for projecting revenue and operating expenses, accounting for key market factors such as inflation, weighted cost of capital, rent trends, leasing incentives, labor challenges, and fluctuating material costs. The session also includes strategies for managing operating and capital expenses to ensure resilient and responsive asset performance planning.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop a six-quarter financial forecast that incorporates realistic revenue and operating expense projections
  • Analyze market conditions including current rental rates, occupancy trends, and leasing incentives to support accurate income assumptions
  • Apply strategies for managing operating and capital expenses in response to inflation risk, labor shortages and material cost volatility
  • Interpret new and renewal leasing spread data to inform forecast adjustments and asset performance optimization
  • Utilize scenario analysis techniques to assess risk and prepare for varying economic conditions within the forecasting window

Mr. Domres is Vice President, Construction & Project Management, a position he has held since the IPO at Physicians Realty Trust in July 2013.

In this role, Mr. Domres oversees the asset management of our single-tenant properties while driving capital projects and sustainability strategies and execution for the entire portfolio. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Real Estate for US Bank and Senior Vice President of Asset and Property Management with a full-service real estate company.

Mr. Domres received the Louise L. and Y. T. Lum Award from the Institute of Real Estate Management and was the NAIOP 2013 Volunteer of the Year. He currently serves as an instructor
