Pedro is the co-founder of Horizon Housing Management LLC, FACTS for Apartments, and National Development Foundation Inc, a 501(c)3 not for profit corporation. His property management career started 40 years ago as a maintenance person and advanced to president and principal of several national property management and development companies.
He has chaired various national and local real estate association committees. He is an instructor of property management and real estate related subjects for the Institute of Real Estate Management, the National Center for Housing Management and FACTS for Apartments. Additionally, he has over 30 years of bilingual international teaching experience.
Mr. Vermales has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from California Coast University, the professional designation of Certified Property Manager from the Institute of Real Estate Management and the Certified Occupancy Specialist and Fair Housing Specialist certification from the National Center for Housing Management. He also holds certifications in finance, human resources, maintenance, marketing, and low-income housing tax credit.
