Leadership isn’t defined by a title. It is defined by the impact you have on people, performance, and the organization around you.

Whether you are stepping into your first management role or have been leading teams for years, effective leadership requires more than knowing what to do—it requires understanding how you lead, how your leadership is experienced by others, and when to adapt your approach.

In today’s dynamic real estate environment, managers are expected to deliver results while navigating competing priorities, changing expectations, employee retention challenges, and increasingly diverse teams. The most effective leaders create clarity, build accountability, and develop people while maintaining the trust and engagement necessary for long-term performance.

In this interactive session, Shawn Reynolds will challenge some common assumptions about leadership and provide practical strategies for becoming a more intentional and authentic leader. Participants will explore how their leadership style influences team dynamics, how to create accountability without damaging relationships, and how meaningful career development can strengthen both employee engagement and organizational performance. Whether you lead a small onsite team or a larger regional or corporate organization, you’ll leave with practical tools and new perspectives you can put to work immediately.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Leverage self-awareness to lead more intentionally by identifying how their natural leadership style influences communication, decision-making, and team dynamics—and recognizing when adapting their approach can improve effectiveness.
  • Apply the 4 P’s of Supportive Accountability to establish clear expectations, address performance challenges, and create a culture where accountability and trust can coexist.
  • Reframe career development as a leadership responsibility by recognizing and challenging common barriers to developing talent, and using career conversations to increase engagement, strengthen retention, and build the organization’s future leadership pipeline.
