A well-maintained property is just more profitable. Poor maintenance causes the owner to spend more on capital replacements for items like roofs and HVAC that should enjoy a longer useful life if properly maintained. In addition, residents or tenants will be prouder and more satisfied with the property and tend to want to renew their leases, not go down the street. Finally, a well-maintained property is safer and can reduce the owner’s exposure to injuries and expensive lawsuits.

This webinar will walk you through five logical steps designed to improve maintenance at all of your properties. You will determine goals and objectives for your maintenance plan, determine the current or “Baseline” condition of the asset via a detailed and documented inspection, identify each property component that requires maintenance with a unique identifier, assign responsibility for the manufacturer’s recommended periodic preventive maintenance and address health and safety issues as a priority for your risk management and maintenance plan. Don’t have a plan? We’ll discuss that too!

This webinar is designed for property managers, property owners and maintenance technicians.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the connection between proper maintenance, including preventive maintenance, and the NOI of the property.
  • Learn to prioritize what is most important to prioritize in your risk management and maintenance plan.
  • Establish a baseline condition for managed assets so that you can measure progress as you improve maintenance.
