Michelle Wong, CPM, ARM, is the 2017-2018 Regional Vice President for the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) for Region 11, encompassing chapters in California and Hawaii. Wong is Vice President and General Manager of Ideal Properties, Inc, in Honolulu HI, a full service real estate company, handling sales and management for over 400 residential units, commercial spaces and office.

Prior to joining Ideal Properties, Inc., she owned and operated Royal Hawaiian Land Co., Ltd. for more than 20 years. She started her real estate career in Hawaii, obtaining her salesman’s license in 1978 and her Broker’s license in 1980. With over 35 years in the industry, her experience includes residential and commercial sales, small businesses, and residential property management.

Wong earned her CPM designation in 1997 and her ARM certification in 2014. Active in IREM’s Hawaii Chapter since 1998, she served as chapter president in 2006, 2014, and 2015. She has been developing the Friendship Relation with the IREM Japan Chapter since the Friendship formation in 2005, recently returning from Tokyo where she the guest speaker for a seminar for the Japan Chapter.

Nationally, Wong has been involved in IREM as a member of the Diversity Task force, Vice Chair and Chair of the Global Business Practices Forum from 2008 – 2010, and served on IREM National’s International Services Advisory Board 2006 -2012, Diversity Advisory Board 2007 – 2014, Governing Council 2008-2010 and 2012-2014, Continuous Learning Advisory Board 2011-2013, and Education and Knowledge Products Committee 2013-2014. Wong continues to serve on the Diversity Advisory Board and Education and Knowledge Products Committee.

Wong is a member of IREM Hawaii Chapter 34.
