  • Video and photo disclaimer and waiver

As a condition of participation in the Chapter Leadership Retreat, attendees waive any claim against IREM and its officers, directors, employees, or agents, or against the presenters or speakers, for reliance on any information presented. Attendees release IREM from and against any and all liability for damage or injury that may arise from participation or attendance at the Chapter Leadership Retreat. Attendees understand and agree that all property rights in the material presented, including common law copyright, are expressly reserved to the presenter or speaker or to IREM, as applicable. Attendees acknowledge that participation in IREM events and activities brings some risk and do hereby assume responsibility for their own well-being.

IREM intends to take photographs and video of this event for marketing and promotional materials in print, electronic, and other media, including the IREM website.

By participating in the Chapter Leadership Retreat, attendees acknowledge that they may be photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded. Further, IREM is given the irrevocable right to use any image, photograph, voice, or likeness, without limitation, for any purpose, including in its marketing, promotional materials, and publicity efforts, without compensation. All photographs, film, footage, other recordings, or media are the property of IREM. Any attendee who does not agree with these terms, should not participate in this event.

  • Speaker / Exhibitor endorsements

The ideas and opinions offered during education and keynote sessions presented during the Chapter Leadership Retreat are solely those of the speakers and do not necessarily reflect the position, policy, or opinion of IREM. The products and services displayed by exhibitors at the Chapter Leadership Retreat should not be construed as a recommendation or endorsement of the products or services by IREM. For issues affecting legal, financial, or accounting matters, attendees should consult trained professionals to address their individual situations.

  • Sessions

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The city fire marshal reserves the right to close a session when the room has reached maximum capacity.

  • Statement of appropriate event conduct

IREM strives to provide an event experience that is positive and rewarding for everyone. By attending the Chapter Leadership Retreat, attendees agree to abide by this Statement of Appropriate Event Conduct.

All attendees (including, without limitation, IREM members, guests, exhibitors, vendors, speakers, and IREM staff) are expected to conduct themselves professionally and with good judgment and common sense. That means, at all times, being respectful of others and of the venues, including while in transit to and from such venues. This includes all meetings, sessions, and events, as well as any mobile applications or virtual platforms associated with the Chapter Leadership Retreat.

IREM aims to provide a safe experience for all attendees and does not tolerate inappropriate behavior or harassment in any form. Inappropriate behavior includes harassing or defamatory verbal or written comments, displays of illicit images, use of illicit language, threats, intimidation, and unwanted physical contact.

If, at any time, you feel threatened or harassed, you are encouraged to report the incident directly to police via 911 or contact IREM’s Chief Learning Officer, CEO or COO via the IREM registration desk. Be sure that you have the date, time, location, and a description of the incident being reported.

Attendees who violate this Statement of Appropriate Event Conduct may be asked to leave the Chapter Leadership Retreat without a refund. In addition, the attendee may not be permitted to participate in future IREM events at the discretion of IREM.

We value your participation and thank you for your cooperation to ensure a safe experience for all.
