IREM connections

• Has a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with IREM that recognizes both organizations’ interest in advancing the profession of real estate management
• Has a real estate or property management degree, major, minor, or concentration that fulfills many of the CPM education requirements

Additional information

• The University of Houston offers a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) program, as well as a Real Estate Certificate that can be earned by students enrolled in the MBA, MS Finance, or BBA Finance programs. In addition, the University of Houston offers a Real Estate Development Certificate for students in the Architecture program. Property management concepts are incorporated into both its graduate and undergraduate real estate curriculum. At the graduate level, property management is covered in the Principles of Real Estate course, which is offered each fall semester and enrolls approximately 15 students annually. At the undergraduate level, property management topics are included in Introduction to Real Estate, which is offered each fall and spring semester and serves more than 100 students each year. The MSRE program graduates approximately five students annually. The Real Estate Certificate program graduates between 35 and 50 students each year.
