Course Description
In this course, author and Excel expert David H. Ringstrom, CPA, will guide you through the powerful world of PivotTables and Power Pivot in Excel. Discover the ideal data setup for PivotTables, and learn how to initiate and add fields effectively. David will also cover advanced techniques such as using PivotTable slicers for enhanced data filtering and importing data into Power Pivot. You'll gain insights into enabling Power Pivot in Excel, creating PivotTables with Power Pivot, and managing relationships within Power Pivot. Additionally, David will introduce you to DAX for creating measures and KPIs, along with strategies for scheduled refreshing of your Power Pivot data.
David is the author of “Microsoft Excel 365 for Dummies” and “Exploring Microsoft Excel’s Hidden Treasures” and has written or co-authored six other books. He demonstrates every technique at least twice: first, on a PowerPoint slide with numbered steps, and second, in the subscription-based Excel for Microsoft 365. David draws your attention to any differences in Excel 2021, 2019 or 2016 during the presentation and in his detailed handouts. Most features and functions work in Excel for Mac as well but expect differences. The handouts include an Excel workbook with most of the examples he uses during his demonstrations.
