Artificial intelligence is transforming property management operations, from leasing and marketing to tenant screening and communication. As AI becomes more integrated into daily workflows, it is essential to understand how automated systems can impact Fair Housing compliance and create unintended risks.
In this course, Doug Chasick, CPM®, explores how AI-powered tools make decisions, where algorithmic bias can emerge, and the potential compliance challenges associated with automated processes. You'll learn how screening systems, marketing platforms, and AI-driven communications can inadvertently replicate historical biases and create Fair Housing concerns.

Doug Chasick, CPM®, known throughout the industry as "That Fair Housing Guy"™, is a nationally recognized Fair Housing expert and former President of the Fair Housing Institute, Inc. With more than 47 years of investment real estate experience, he began his career as the resident manager of a 524-unit apartment community and later served as President or CEO of five real estate companies overseeing portfolios totaling more than 28,000 apartment units and over eight million square feet of commercial, retail, and industrial property.
Doug earned his Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) designation in 1979 and previously served on the IREM® National Faculty. He is a Senior Instructor with the NAAEI Faculty, leads the Advanced Facilitator Training program, and co-authored Outstanding Facilitation Techniques. He also played a significant role in the development of the joint IREM® and NAAEI Fair Housing and Beyond course.
In addition, Doug is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida, a licensed Expert Fair Housing Instructor in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a recipient of the NAAEI Apartment Career & Education Award.
