From the origins of Pride Month to the ongoing reality of housing discrimination, this session explores the history of the 2-SLGBTQ+ community and the unique challenges its members face in accessing safe, stable housing. Designed for property managers, leasing staff, and real estate professionals, this webinar connects the dots between Pride Month's roots, current discrimination trends, and the role property management professionals play in creating more equitable housing experiences. Participants will leave better equipped to serve all tenants with dignity and fairness.

Jazz (they/them) is a Black, Indigenous Two-Spirit individual and an award-winning, lifelong facilitator of social justice, public speaker, and change agent for liberation. Over the past two decades, they have committed themselves professionally and personally to advocating for BIPOC communities and the 2-SLGBTQ+ community. Jazz believes deeply in the power of relationships, education, awareness, and engagement to dismantle inequitable systems and drive meaningful change. A seasoned presenter, Jazz has led countless trainings, participated in educational documentaries, been a keynote speaker and helped spark transformative conversations across West Michigan and beyond. They lead with authenticity, creativity, truth-telling, and a listening ear, consistently centering racial and disability justice in their work. Jazz currently serves as the Executive Director of the Grand Rapids Pride Center and Co-owner/Principal Consultant of Paradigm Shifts Consulting, bringing their passions together to create a safer, more equitable world for the 2-SLGBTQ+ community.
