CHICAGO (January 2, 2024) – IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) is pleased to announce the organization’s 2024 leaders, beginning with President Libby Ekre, CPM®, succeeding Renee Savage, CPM®, CCIM, who now serves as the 2024 Immediate Past President. The organization has elected another all-women leadership team that can take IREM to the next level of advancing the real estate management profession.
“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to lead IREM this year, especially with the support of our remarkable leadership team and board of directors,” says Ekre. “Each of these professionals plays an important part in advancing IREM’s mission. My role is to harness the skills and capabilities of these talented individuals to achieve our strategic goals.”
In addition to her position as 2024 IREM President, Ekre is a founding partner of MEB Management Services, AMO®. She’s dedicated her career to developing people by investing in their professional and personal growth, while growing their commitment to lifelong learning.
Ekre has oversight of the company’s human resources, talent management, and quality assurance teams, ensuring the company maintains its reputation for excellence. Her commitment to enhancing the skills and capabilities of her team reflects her passion for the industry’s growth and development.
Serving alongside Ekre is 2024 President-elect Dawn Carpenter, CPM®. Dawn’s broker-owner of Dawning Real Estate Inc. AMO® , in Staten Island, NY. A CPM since 2002 and a REALTOR® for more than 20 years, Carpenter is actively involved in IREM, and has served on the Legislative Policy Committee and Federal Housing Advisory Board. She’s a past chair of the Ethics Inquiry Board and Ethics Committee, and a past president of the IREM Greater New York chapter.
Mindy Gronbeck, CPM®, CCIM, CSM, CRX, serves as the 2024 IREM Secretary/Treasurer. Gronbeck also serves as executive vice president of property management operations for Hawkins Companies, AMO®, a commercial real estate development company. Hawkins Companies is a full-service real estate firm specializing in shopping center development and management and headquartered in Boise, ID.
