CHICAGO (July 17, 2020) – Bob Beal, a longtime CPM® and friend of IREM®, along with his wife Gladys, generously named the IREM Foundation as beneficiary to their trust. This unprecedented gift has distributed over $1 million to the IREM Foundation to date.
Both Bob and Gladys held a deep love for IREM and wanted to share this love with others. The funds will be used to support the Beals’ desire for IREM to prosper, lead, educate, create passion and endure in the field of professional real estate management.
Bob was more interested in turning the spotlight away from himself and instead directing it toward others, helping them succeed to higher levels of achievement. He had high expectations for those he took under his wing, and he proved an inspirational and paternal leader. And he was an includer, a connector, and he helped mentor many real estate managers to successful careers and leadership positions within IREM. With this gift, the legacy of Bob and Gladys will live on to reflect the magnitude of their passion.

Bob spent more than 50 years at RPM Management, AMO®, in Little Rock, AR, where he served as president, and shortly before his passing in 2013 served as chairman emeritus. He also was an active member of IREM, serving at both the local and national level. He received many recognitions and awards in that time, serving as an IREM Regional Vice President and an IREM Foundation board member. He also received the 2008 Arkansas Chapter Man of the Year award.
The IREM Foundation has established a task force to determine specific uses for the funds, as well as ongoing commemoration to ensure the Beal legacy, as unwavering supporters of current and future real estate managers, lives on.
