Recognizing real estate management leaders

 

ACoM of the Year

Recognizes an IREM® member who holds the ACoM (Accredited Commercial Manager®) certification, who’s made a commitment to the commercial real estate management profession and made valuable contributions to enhance its future.

          

Beau Patterson, ACoM                          

My name is Beau Patterson and I am Senior Property Manager at New Forum located in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am a proud husband and father of two fantastic children. I enjoy running (recreationally and competitively), watching all sports, coaching sports and spending time with my family. I am a certified high school basketball official in the State of North Carolina. I have been blessed to work numerous state playoff games as well as two private school state championship games. Professionally - I work hard for New Forum and take part in both IREM and Vistage (Emerging Leader) Programs.                 

 

Christiana Webber, ACoM

Christiana works for Gordon Partners Management as a Senior Property Manager, managing approximately 1,020,000 SF and supervising the maintenance of their entire portfolio.

She oversees a team of Property and Facility Managers, Administrators, and Maintenance Professionals. She is responsible for the implementation of all procedures, and programs to ensure the properties are professionally managed and provide excellent customer service.

Christiana’s strengths include cultivating and supporting her team, as well as maintaining the landlord’s financial reporting, and tenant and vendor relationships.

Christiana has 18+ years of industry experience and has managed various property types including retail, office, medical, and multifamily.

Michael Murphy, ACoM

Mike earned a B.S. in Real Estate from LaRoche College in 2006. He started with Sampson-Morris Group in 2006 working on land development, marketing, maintenance, leasing, project coordination and technology.  In 2015 his promotion to Sr. Property Manager increased his responsibilities to include capital improvements and tenant relations. 

Mike is licensed by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission and is a member of NAIOP. In 2014 he earned the Accredited Commercial Manager (ACoM) certification from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) Mike earned his Remote Pilots License in 2019 (FAA Part 107 Drone).

        

Vanessa Grayson, ARM®, ACoM                                                        

A business manager for Lincoln Property Company, Vanessa Grayson currently oversees a mixed-use community consisting of 256 homes and retail commercial spaces. Driven by success and opportunities to learn, Vanessa strives for positive outcomes through team first mentality and initiatives to reach her client's goals. Vanessa's commitment to the diversity, equity, and inclusion of our industry and strong pathways for our next generation of leadership are just a few things she holds close to her heart, but her most important title will always be "mom" to her son and daughter.

Tasha Rush, ARM®

Tasha Rush, is currently an assistant property manager at Greenleaf Apartments Senior Subsidized Housing Community in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Tasha is a Board of Directors member, DEI Committee chair, Social Media Committee chair for the IREM Chicago Chapter, and DEI Advisory Board member at IREM Headquarters.

Tasha graduated from Columbia College with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and ASL Instruction, she's currently pursuing her Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation, she also has designations from the National Center for Housing Management (NCHM), such as Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Management Occupancy Review Specialist (MORS), Enterprise Income Verification Specialist (EIVS), & Certified Manager of Senior Housing (CMSH).

David Sayers, ARM®       

David Sayers is a multifamily learning strategist for real estate.

David is a noteworthy leader in the residential multifamily industry and establishes best-in-class training for property management while building associate development success at Cortland.

Achieving his Accredited Residential Manager certification has been an outstanding experience and shares that the certification is a great first step toward his CPM candidacy.

As a member of IREM Georgia, David is co-chair of the Education Committee for 2022 and has also served in the Program Committee for 2021. In addition, David serves as the Education Chair for the University of Georgia RPM Board.

CPM® of the Year

Denise Bleiler, CPM®                                                                  

Denise is a dynamic, well-rounded, self-starter with 20+ years of property management as a Regional Property Manager 8+ of this is military experience. She has a BS in Accounting from Rutgers University and a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Central Michigan University.  She began her career at The Michaels Organization by going through their management trainee program to be a Regional Manager. 

"I was trained from the ground up performing all of the jobs at the corporate office and at a property before I successfully was promoted to a Regional Manager, and as a result I know all of the jobs that I interact with very well. I use this experience to constantly train, mentor, coach and develop my team to have them assist in all of us obtaining and exceeding the owner’s and business plan goals. I believe to be successful, you have to consistently mentor and train your team and take care of them like they are family."

She is recognized by peers and direct reports for leadership style and her dedication to both her job and her team to perform at the highest level with excellence & integrity. Her career objective is to use her leadership experience to make a difference in the lives of those she works with and serves in the community by cultivating a teamwork environment and treating every resident as if they were her mother or father, thereby providing exemplary customer service. “I do and did this because I think a good leader pays favors back, a great leader pays them forward."

Kaci Hancock, CPM®

As Operations Director for Houston’s historic Rice Village Shopping Center, Kaci’s tenure in commercial real estate spans 24 years.

She has successfully managed several diverse commercial portfolios including mixed-use, office, retail, industrial, and office/warehouse.

Her extensive knowledge of commercial real estate operations includes financial reporting, contract management, and coordination of capital improvements. Kaci’s high-energy, attention to detail, and passion for customer service fuel a strong focus on relationship building with everyone from ownership to the maintenance team.

In addition to her volunteer efforts with IREM, she mentors those interested in pursuing a real estate management career.

Barbara Jaco, CPM®

Barbara "Babbie" Jaco is VP of CAHEC Management (CMI) headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina.

Babbie joined Boyd Management in 1984, and in 2020, CAHEC, one of the largest non-profit equity syndicators in the U.S. acquired Boyd Management and its' development affiliate, WWJ.  Babbie was a principal owner in both entities and continues to lead CMI's operations today. 

Babbie is CMI's Executive CPM and BIC for their multi state operation which consists of 380 Rural Development, HUD and LIHTC financed communities, 14,000 apartments. She serves on IREM's Chapter 72's Board of Directors, Federal Housing Advisory, and Legislative & Public Policy Committees. 

Jesse C. Miller, MBA, CPM®, CAPS, ACoM, ARM®, NAAEI Faculty, SHCM, CAM, NALP

Jesse C. Miller, MBA, CPM®, CAPS, ACoM, ARM®, NAAEI Faculty, SHCM, CAM, NALP is a three-time national award-winning real estate executive with more than 15 years of real estate experience encompassing asset management, program development, planning, and administration. He is managing director at Kokua Realty, LLC, and oversees company operations affecting acquisitions, operations, and investment.

In his commitment to continued education, Mr. Miller has lectured at multiple conferences, industry associations, and academic institutions—nationally and internationally. As an assistant academic director at Portland State University, he held a key role in launching the Center for Real Estate's Property Management Program.

Amy Natoli, CPM®

Amy Natoli is Vice President of Risk & Property Management for The Brick Companies (TBC), a private real estate company located in Edgewater, Maryland. She started with TBC in 2003 as an administrative assistant and became a CPM in 2013. She is a past president of IREM Maryland, a member of its Board of Directors, and she currently serves as Vice Chair of the Instructor & Grader Advisory Board. Amy credits her involvement with IREM, with its wealth of educational and leadership development opportunities, for her success.

 

IREM Excellence Award – Individual

Recognizes a real estate management professional who has demonstrated a commitment to the industry, made extraordinary achievements, and/or has had a positive impact on the communities he/she serves. 

    

Adeayomi Adeyemi, CPM®                                          

Adeayomi Adeyemi is a Chartered Estate Surveyor & Valuer and a Certified Property Manager. He works for City of Winnipeg where he is responsible for managing City owned properties. Prior to working with City, he worked with companies like Broll (Cushman & Wakefield | Broll).

With over 13 years combined experience in Corporate Real Estate Services, Asset / Property Management, Property valuation as well as Governance & Compliance. 

Adeayomi relocated to Winnipeg, Canada in June 2019 and continued to serve IREM and REIC in various capacities. He mentors many who are interested in pursuing designations within the Institution.

Sherri Commander, CPM®

I am currently a Senior Property Manager with Lincoln Harris where I have been employed for 15 years managing medical office buildings for Atrium Healthcare, one of the nation’s largest non-profit healthcare systems. I have over 24 years experience in the commercial real estate industry. I have been an active member in IREM since 2008, earning my CPM in 2009. I have served on the executive board of my local chapter for over 11 years and was Chapter President in 2014. Outside of work, I am married with 3 grown children, a 9-month-old granddaughter, and two dogs.

Janna Dalton, CPM®

Janna Dalton is the Vice President of Asset Management for Cardinal Group Companies. Janna has been in the real estate management industry for 12 years, starting onsite as a conventional leasing agent. She is currently responsible for the performance of a 17-property, 3,469 unit, and 10,676 bed national student housing portfolio. Janna is the President of the IREM Greater Denver Chapter for 2021 and 2022, is attending Georgetown University for her master's in real estate, is the Governance Chair for Cardinal's ESG Council, and is actively involved in the Women in Leadership Business Resource Group at Cardinal.

      

Chrystal Skead, CPM®                                        

Chrystal Skead has over 30 years of residential property management experience and has been an active IREM member since 1990. As partner in Clear Stone Asset Consulting Inc., based in Calgary Alberta, the firm provides management and consulting services. Chrystal served as the first Canadian RVP in 2006-2008 and accepted a second appointment as IREM Canada VP in 2019-2021. She is a Past President of the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC), IREM's Canadian partner and a recipient of the CPM Emeritus award in 2014, the highest honor awarded by REIC to an REIC member.
