Kelly McTighe is a Senior Managing Director at Capital Area Real Estate Services LLC, AMO® in Washington, DC. As a proud Washington, DC metropolitan area native, Kelly has had the opportunity to watch the city she loves transform over the years, giving her a unique understanding and appreciation of the market. At her company, Kelly is involved in an array of real estate related activities including acquisitions and dispositions, accounting and financial reporting, human resources, marketing, leasing, and strategic and financial planning across multiple portfolios.
After completing her Bachelor of Science in Finance at Virginia Tech, Kelly became an Accredited Residential Manager® and went on to earn a Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University. After completing her master's degree, she became a Certified Property Manager® which opened the door for her to become more involved in her local IREM chapter, Washington, DC Chapter 8. Before becoming a CPM®, Kelly participated on Board committees, including the Education and Member Services committees. After becoming a CPM® in 2020, she served as the VP of Programs in 2021 and was one of two recipients to receive the 2021 Distinguished Service Award for Chapter 8. This year is her second year as Vice President on the Board of Directors and her current role is VP of Admissions for 2022.
