Christina (Christy) Mays, CPM® is the 2023 – 2024 regional vice president for IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) Region 12, encompassing chapters in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. She co-founded Détente Management in 2017, a boutique management firm in the wonderful Pacific Northwest, and has also earned instructor status with IREM and currently teaches RES 201 and Ethics 800.
Before co-creating Détente Management, Christy worked for a variety of firms ranging from small business enterprises to large corporations and syndicates, primarily managing conventional multi-family and manufactured housing. She’s been affiliated with IREM since 2000, and has served in several positions for the Western Washington chapter. Christy also spends a fair amount of her time lobbying in her State’s capitol to preserve property rights and advocating for the industry at large.
