Prerequisites
All properties that apply for the IREM CSP for Self-storage Properties program must meet the following requirements:
- Properties primarily used as self storage facilities
- At least 10,000 square feet
- At least 18 months since substantial completion or repositioning
- In compliance with all environmental laws

Options for Each Category
- Earn a minimum of 2 points in the Energy and Water categories
- Accumulate at least 30 total points by completing the activities of your choice
